Repent

The Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Despite what the many false and foolish teachers say, we actually have to obey Him and walk in His ways continually. Nothing less will bring us the satisfaction we (and the Lord God) seek.  Doing what He asks - precisely how He asks - is how we follow Him and become like Him. And if we want to be where He is, we must seek to be like Him.

“The Lord rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands has he recompensed me. For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God. For all his judgments were before me, and as for his statutes, I did not depart from them. I was also upright before him, and have kept myself from my iniquity. Therefore, the Lord has recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to my cleanness in his eyesight.” - 2 Sam 10:6

There are many reasons to think otherwise. There are enough voices in our own lives that try and justify why the countless other ways are superior than His ways.

Don’t give heed to those voices that offer another way. His path is strait and narrow. He is JUST and it is us who need to arise.

Come to Christ and be made complete in Him, and reject all ungodliness. And if you reject all ungodliness and love God with all your might, mind, and strength, then His grace is sufficient for you, so that by His grace you can be complete in Christ. If by God’s grace you’re complete in Christ, there’s no way you can deny God’s power. Moreover, if you’re complete in Christ by God’s grace and don’t deny His power, then you’re sanctified in Christ by God’s grace through the shedding of Christ’s blood, which is part of the Father’s covenant, to accomplish the remission of your sins, so that you become holy, without stain.” - Moroni 10:6

It may seem unfair that He won’t relent and be just a little more lack in His standards towards you. Doesn’t he know all the baggage we bring from our upbringing? Of course He does. But it’s for your good. He loves us enough to not budge so that we will finally be broken enough to come up to Him.
