Councils Pt 2

I was having a conversation today with a good friend of mine on the subject of my last post. He expanded on it with something so profound I want to share it here.  He explained that the outcome of a majority decision may be outside of your control, but the decision to not separate through the practice of mutual agreement is within your control.  Therefore, mutual agreement is an attribute — an attribute tied directly to choice, charity, and godliness.  I’m grateful for that added insight. I will now look at mutual agreement differently and with greater purpose.

Pre-mortal and Earthly Councils

Majority vote makes the decision; mutual agreement prevents separation; Justice is the guardian of liberty.

What evidence?

Would you believe Jesus could be the promised Messiah if there weren’t written accounts of his sinless life, his atonement evidenced by his life and works in Gethsemane and the Cross, and that he had the living wounds in his body today to prove it?   Of course not.  Neither should you believe his servants could be prophets, seers, and revelators without evidence of prophesying, seeing, and revealing.  Call each other what you want, it doesn’t make it so - no matter how kind and gentle they (or you) are.  “ If there is a prophet among you, I, the LORD, will reveal Myself to him in a vision; I will speak to him in a dream."  - Numbers 12:16 “ And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and  confirming the word with signs following .”  - Mark 16:20 Believe in the words of the Lord God sent to you and examine the evidences confirming them.
